User Defined Fields
User defined fields are generic data entry fields for a specified database table. They are fields that are configured and used for capturing specific information required to support the custom business processes in your environment.
User defined fields are predefined and only the Description can be edited. The user defined fields on an entity are derived from what was configured for the associated table in the master data. So, if user defined fields are specified for the asset table in the master data, then the preconfigured fields will automatically display on a regular asset's User Defined Fields tab.
