Screen Designer

The Screen Designer provides the ability to customise create, edit and preview screens.

When a dashboard is customised, then the custom view is created via the dashboard. You can also customise Edit screens via the dashboard. However, the Screen Designer provides extra capabilities for customising Edit screens, in addition to the ability to customise Create and Preview screens. These customisations are then saved as profiles, using the profile picker in the sidebar.

The Screen Designer provides a customisation functionality, where you can edit existing screens to fit your business needs. So, you can define exactly what you want to see and only show the items that are relevant to you in your environment.

Using the Screen Designer

The Screen Designer includes a widget list, containing all the components that you can use in the customisation of your screen. You can drag items from the widget list and insert it onto your customised screen.

You can also, for example, define the tabs you want to see, the groups you want to see, the field order, what a field should be labelled, and so on, for the Create, Edit and Preview screens of all entities in On Key.

This view is then saved as a profile via the profile picker in the sidebar. Once you navigate to the screen that was customised and load the profile, then the changes made in the Screen Designer will reflect.
