Sidebar

The sidebar provides access to various system functions. Since the dashboard is context-sensitive, the options for certain system functions in the sidebar will differ, depending on the information displayed on the dashboard. You are able access different features and settings, based on where you are opening the sidebar from in On Key.

The following functionality is available from the sidebar:

Use:	To:
Actions	Create, edit or preview any record, regardless of where you are in the system and without leaving your current position.
Assist	Access context-sensitive features and settings relative to where you are in On Key. Refer to On Key Assist for more information.
Help	View context-sensitive help relative to where you are in the system. You can also launch to a specific topic or a search in the On Key Help File.
Messages	View system messages, such as error messages, relative to where you are in the system. If validation errors are detected, then the Messages panel appears so that the validation errors can be corrected.
Profiles	Save profiles when you to customise the way data is displayed on the user interface. You can also set a default profile. Refer to Profiles for more information.
Compare	Compare records on different entities in On Key.
