
This external course will equip the appointed first aiders to deal with a number of medical situations in the workplace. The training covers theoretical knowledge and practical skills in all aspects of emergency first aid and CPR.

The office fire fighter is responsible for ensuring that basic fire prevention and safety steps are implemented in the workplace. This course is presented by an external service provider; please contact the HSSE Administrator (Kim Hartnick) for a suitable vendor. In order to complete this course, you must register with the external service provider, attend the course and upload your certificate on the Academy Portal.

Learners found competent in this unit standard will be able to explain the basic principles of relevant current health and safety legislation and the consequences of non-compliance.

This external course provides the appointed health and safety representative(s) with an understanding of their role as such. It includes knowing what their duties and responsibilities are and how they should carry them out.

Defensive Driving is provided by an external service provider to employees who drive more than 6000 km per year. In order to complete this course, you will need to enroll for it on eye-Q and then register with the external service provider. After completing the driver training, please upload a copy of your attendance certificate below. Certificates are valid for two years.

This course is facilitated by an external service provider. It equips learners with the necessary knowledge and skills about the application of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, No. 85 of 1993 (as amended), and the responsibilities of management in terms of the Act.
