This 10-week online course will provide you with the tools needed to communicate effectively and enhance the way you work. You’ll learn how to plan communication material, and choose the correct and appropriate language, style, and tone of business correspondences in order to achieve your purpose. The course places a practical emphasis on common writing functions within a business environment. This includes the content required for meeting notices, the value of an agenda, and the steps needed to plan, design, and format a business document. The course will cover the types of visual media that can be used in business writing, its purpose, potential placements, and methods of use. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence to communicate through writing in any business context, and the tools to understand the function and interpersonal nature of business correspondence in the workplace.
