In order to qualify for a certificate of competency as mechanical or electrical Engineer, the following subjects must be passed by persons accepted as candidates by the Commission of Examiners on behalf of the South Africa Department of Labour.
- Plant Engineering (Factories)
- Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
