The module Resourcing focuses on describing the impact and identification of specific resources when planning work while also describing the impact and identification of specific resources when scheduling work. The module describes the impact of repairable assets on the scheduling process and explains the purpose and benefits of serialisation when managed effectively. Lastly the module describes the impact of warranties to maximise the benefits.
The module Long-Term Work Plan defines a long term work plan and its benefits. It identifies the best time for reviewing the plan and provides practical examples and optimisation of non-value adding high frequency tasks.
The module Tactics Optimisation strives to explain the concept of addictive maintenance, as well as the strategies to be employed to break the addictive maintenance cycle. The module covers what asset and component failure characteristics used to identify maintenance tactic optimisation. It reinforces he distinction between the mechanism for problem solving and the complexity of the problems. Learners will be given feedback information on work orders and review the feedback for updating tactical tasks. In addition, the modules discuss the formal process used to list and rank process improvement opportunities.
The module KPIs, Reporting and Analysis aims to explain how maintenance KPIs are derived and the links between maintenance KPIs and the organisations business goals. Leading and lagging KPIs will be explained and how they are continuously used to improve asset availability. The module explores the specific KPIs frequently used to drive continuous improvement in maintenance work management. It interprets common maintenance work management report requirements and identifies standard reports for use, which are also related to maintenance work management and asset availability and highlight deviations for investigations.
